Veterans Day 2011
Just a pause to appreciate our troops scattered around the world, especially those in combat areas. I imagine most of us have watched as our young people left our neighborhoods, churches, and schools leaving home and family for an unknown future in the service. I pray for their safe return, and for all those over time who have not returned or have come back injured in ways hard to heal. May we all greet the returning gently, with love, and support, and comfort the families left behind.

So true...!
My Father in WWII, my Ex in Korea, G was a Vietnam era officer, and I am Cuban Crisis. A grandson just home from Afghanistan, and a granddaughter survived Iraq. It's interesting that some of us define ourselves by when we served. Those of us who marched against Vietnam learned an important lesson, the war is not those who fight it.
Yes..... we must think of all the fallen who died so that we can stay free.
Lets hope peace prevails.
