The Boy Beats the Heat
Friday was quite mellow weather-wise, around 70, light breeze, perfect day for The Boy and his Grandpa to visit the bookstore to get new "Captain Underpants" books. Then home to change into swim shorts and a visit to the summer silent college campus a few blocks away and taste the delights of one of their fountains.

Captain Swimshorts spent an hour in his own private pool. I wonder what he is thinking, he left his goggles at his cousins or he would have been swimming underwater he told me. From the look of it water in the face is okay with him.

Happy Birthday to dear hubby too!! Nice time of year to have a birthday. Love the pics of Captain Swimshorts (at least I hope he was wearing some! LOL!).
I especially like that last pic, where it looks like the tree is growing out of the fountain and the flower (lily?) is wanting to join in the fun!
Now that's a fountain. I think that you should have joined cute little Captain Swimshorts. I would pay a buck or two for that picture. Happy Birthday to your Husband from me. Happy Sunday to you and yours.
XOSue.
remembering the days of playing in the sprinkler and swimming in the local pools. hot heat of a Georgia summer and cool relief - paradise. glad he had a fun time in the fountain and you had a daydreaming moment or 2!
I just wandered over from 'Time Goes By' in time to see Captain Swimshorts in the fountain. It reminded me of the time I was in Balboa Park with my daughter and her toddler. My granddaughter was eying the fountain as her mother changed her diaper. My granddaughter suddenly stood up, ripped her diaper off, ran to the fountain and jumped in. I didn't blame her as it was a hot day.
