Family Outing
Sunday actually had some sun in it. It was raining when I got up 10 am! I was in bed and asleep by 10pm the night before, must have been tired. Then the sun came out. Went for a short walk, made me feel better but I'm still not breathing quite like I should. I had to stop a couple of times. Came home, made coffee, read the lame funny papers, there used to be some entertaining (to me) funnies. I'm guessing since our paper is small in a small town that there is a limited selection for their budget? Does it work that way? I don't know.
Went to one of those paint and wine places with my Grand girl Natty and my son Chris. They had an open paint this Sunday. We chose to do something of our own instead of selecting from the offerings. I had some moments of high anxiety before we got there. I haven't painted for so long, kept reminding myself this was for fun not a competition. Nat and I brought sketches. Chris brought his colorful cartoonist brain. I had a glass of white wine. My companions had exotic orange carbonated stuff. Clearly we like color. Three generations of painters.

I especially love the little critter with the blue critter,
Nat's central figure reminds me of how joyful she is and how she can bring that with her into dark places.
Then, just an aside, Walla Walla's Holiday Inn Express got a FedEx delivery it wasn't expecting! No injuries to people or pets fortunately. Took awhile to extract it since it came into the pool through a load bearing wall. Not my picture, Got it from a FB friend who got it from a friend etc. And yes, I went down to look at it. Sigh, I must get out more.

Darling pictures from everyone. Worth grinning about for sure. Whammo of a picture of the Fed Ex truck.
RYN: Workrooms. She is using the old living room on one floor, and two rooms one flight up. It isn't my idea of heaven at all. She lives in a hill side home that's five flights tall and has no large rooms. LOL
Five flights up Mage, eek! I retract my envy.
Nat is very Avant Garde. I like all of these paintings, however.
Oh, my...that's a really unwanted FedEx delivery for sure. I think you are all wonderful painters, and what a fun way to spend the afternoon, Celia. Hope you are feeling better.
Thanks Linda Kay, I am getting along on one nap a day now ;-).
Schmidley - I like Nat's imagination. She's also learning to sew and is taking her clothes apart and making them into something new of her own creation.
Clearly artistic expression runs in the family. All of those are worth framing for motivation. My daughter loved her wine and chat painting she did a year ago.
That looks like such fun. Nice you can share that way :)
It was fun, Chris and I have done some other art projects where we each drew on a canvas and the other did the color and other materials to complete it. Interesting to see what someone else makes of your ideas.
It was fun Tabor, kind of downtime with family. Because it was so quiet the owner's teenage kids were there and they were very creative too working on school projects.
Hi Celia!! Wow I really love all of those paintings. A lot of artistic talent there :)
Thank you Keith. We have fun. Great to be with those we love isn't it? Congrats on your marriage.
Love all the art work, such a talented bunch!
Naps are a good thing!
Poolside delivery is a bit scary...
Love your sea scape! Very happy and delightful! Cheers!
Thank you Kathe.
Brighid - we had a lot of fun together. We're going to do some more art together at home. Love being with those kids.
Those paintings, all of them, are absolutely amazing. You're all so talented and should definitely do it more often! :)
Oh wow, that truck is crazy to look at ;)
Thanks Beate, you must have made a lovely bride!
